Biography

Tyler is an artist, educator, and curator living and working in Philadelphia. Kline grew up in Stone Mountain, GA, studied Architecture and Painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Anthropology and Sculpture at Portland State University, and Installation and Sculpture at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Kline currently teaches Art Appreciation and studio classes at Rowan University and 3D Design at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, as well as a summer studio session in mold making and Metal Casting at Salem Art Works.Kline’s studio and curatorial work braids Visual Anthropology with cross disciplinary aesthetics, with an interest in emerging media and scientific cross-pollination. Recent projects include curating Doppelgänger, an exhibition in collaboration with Princeton’s MoVa exploring VR, AR, and visceral sculpture, calling into question the ontology of objects.
