Edelman CCCA Scholarships
Edelman Scholars
Edelman Scholars receive a minimum of $2500 in renewable tuition support per year.
Additionally, during the course of the award, each Edelman Scholar receives $1,000 to fund conference travel, workshops, training, and other professional development experiences.
Students who are accepted to Rowan as majors within the Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts as incoming freshman or transfer students, and meet the criteria below, will be invited to apply.
Incoming first-time, full-time freshmen:
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.5
- Submission of portfolio or short essay
Students transferring in as full-time students:
- Minimum 3.5 overall
- Submission of portfolio or short essay
In addition to the above criteria, consideration is also given to first-generation students, those overcoming substantial educational or economic obstacles, and students whose academic and professional goals promote diversity, equity and inclusion through communication and/or creative arts.
The August Bagin - Richard Ambacher, Sr. Memorial Scholarships
A $1500 scholarship for one outstanding student accepted as an incoming freshman and one outstanding student accepted as an incoming transfer student majoring in Advertising, Art, Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Radio/TV/Film, Studio Art, or Writing Arts.

The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Scholarship
The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Scholarship
Each year, the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia award scholarships to area Delaware Valley college students majoring in Communication. For more information, visit their website.
The David Cromie Communication Scholarship
Criteria:
• Student must be a major in a Communication department
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Minimum 75 credit hours completed at time of application
• Outstanding work in the study of Communication
• Contribution to Rowan University and/or the College of Communication & Creative Arts
Application process:
Applicant must submit:
- Brief statement (150-200 words) on how the applicant meets the criteria
- Resume
- Two letters of recommendation from faculty, staff, or administrators-at least one of which must be from a Rowan COC faculty member.
- A sample of the applicant's work (paper, film, video, etc.)

The Photography Scholarship
Students who are enrolled in either the Minor in Photography or BFA in Art, Concentration in Photography program by December 21, 2021 are invited to apply for a $1,000 per semester ($2,000/year) scholarship renewable for up to three and a half years. Up to three students will be awarded scholarships for Spring 2022.

Coming in 2023: The Stephanie George Lenchinsky and William Lenchinsky Endowed Scholarship Fund will support students enrolled at the College of Education and the Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts who are studying Writing Arts with a dual major in Education. Read more here.
How To Apply
University scholarships are available to students through Scholarship Universe. The University Scholarship Committee awards scholarships to Rowan University Students on the basis of academic excellence, financial need, and participation in on-campus and off-campus activities.
