Sarah Montagnoli is a metalsmith and educator based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; who is presently an Adjunct Professor at Tyler School of Art and Architecture and Rowan University. Montagnoli's work and studio practice is motivated by a fascination with pillowing metal and creating opportunities for tactility through mixed media in her wearable objects. By incorporating materials such as fur, flocking, silicone, and felt; the work creates moments of tactility and comfort in tandem with sensuality and play.
