Nicole Cesare teaches in the First-Year Writing Program and the Sophomore Engineering Clinic, where she works with students to engage the writing process and enter the critical conversation. Her scholarly work on contemporary African fiction has appeared in the Journal of Commonwealth and Postcolonial Studies, ARIEL: A Review of International English Literature, and Research in African Literatures. Dr. Cesare is interested in theories of teaching and learning, inclusive pedagogies, and faculty development. She also volunteers with the literacy organization Mighty Writers, where she has led workshops on nature writing and ghost stories.
