Biography

Veteran sports writer for the Philadelphia Daily News and Philadelphia Inquirer for more than three decades, Ed Barkowitz has covered all major sporting events during his career. Long before the Supreme Court ruled in favor of national legalized sports betting in 2018, Ed was already writing about the subject for years including as a beat reporter from 2018-23.

The Philadelphia native teaches sports betting and the media at Rowan, as students learn about the rapidly growing sports gambling industry.
