AENJ Symposium 2022

The Art Educators of New Jersey (AENJ) is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to promoting and maintaining high standards of visual arts education within the state of New Jersey. Established in 1938, the organization is one of the most prominent art educator associations in the state. One of their events is a bi-yearly symposium. This spring, the AENJ symposium was held on our very own campus, sponsored by Edelman CCCA, the College of Education, and the Departments of Art and STEAM Education.

EVENT: Let Every Voice Be Heard

Dr. Melissa Klapper (Women’s and Gender Studies Program Coordinator) says, “This is a concert that celebrates and amplifies ALL voices by featuring music that tells a powerful story, explores themes of social justice, and integrates the human voice.”

February 15th marked the National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration, a series of events hosted by several Edelman CCCA departments and programs, in conjunction with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Center for Women and Gender Studies, as well as the SJICR.

Prof. Harrell PIPER Grant

This year, Professor Cherita Harrell is designing a course for Edelman CCCA, entitled “Reclaiming our Time: Empowering Women of Color”.

Fall Research Showcase

Last semester CCCA held the inaugural Fall Research Showcase, an event in which faculty and students alike came together to present their research and other projects that they have been working on throughout the semester.
