Master of Arts in Writing: Internships

Hands-on internship opportunities are available with Glassworks, the program’s internationally circulated literary magazine, and Singularity Press, a non-profit publishing servicer housed in the Writing Arts Department. Select interns from these organizations have the opportunity to attend the annual AWP Conference with funding support from the Writing Arts department.

Our undergraduate Writing Arts department also houses Halftone, an online pop culture zine, and RU Joking, an online publication dedicated to short comedy. Internships with these publications may be available for graduate students who have particular interest in these genres.

External internships with area publishers, non-profit organizations, and other businesses are also available.
