Over the past several years the concept of “fake news” has ignited a fierce public debate over what information can be trusted. With more platforms for information distribution than ever, the line between fact and fiction continues to blur. Although misinformation has existed for decades, the field of animal science and husbandry has been particularly harmed by the internet, where lies can easily become amplified into the public consciousness.
To address the need for concise educational visuals to counter misinformation, Animalis mendacium utilizes illustrations and animation to highlight commonly misunderstood animals and debunk popularized misconceptions.
