Students in the exhibition collaborated with physicians, scientists, designers, artists, and experts at Rowan University and industry professionals.
Graphic Design
Congratulations to the graphic design students who earn either a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art Concentration in Graphic Design, or a Bachelor of Art degree in the Department of Art. Preparation for the group exhibition and portfolio night is a vital part of their final senior design studio, where they work individually and within teams to add final polish into their design skillset. This exhibition and portfolio night celebrates several years of work and is a critical component as they make the transition into the professional world of design.
Studio Art Virtual Exhibition
Portraits are a personal and reflective expression of what I see in people. I paint people I love. The process of arranging brushstrokes to form a face reveals a personality and a relationship. pWhen I photograph people, it often involves walking together and exploring paces with new eyes, and elevating my subject with them. When I capture the way light falls on someone, it is both an exercise of composition and a thoughtful exposing of the way I see them. These landscapes are mountains I climbed, waters I looked into, and skies that opened above me. In each of these repainted memories, someone was close to me. Through landscape, I memorialize moments with people - dear friends on a beach at dawn, the wonder of exploration, and places made for dreaming.
