Animation and animation-related technologies such as games, immersive media, and interaction design have enjoyed an explosive growth worldwide in innumerable industries including media and entertainment, interactive media, E-sports, architecture, engineering, education, web development, VR, AR, XR, and training. The skill sets involved in animation production are in high demand, not only for those who wish to focus on animation as a career and a growing variety of additional industries. Animation by definition, is fundamentally a model for interdisciplinary study and practice. The industry has seen continuous and steady growth, particularly as remote work methods have grown in recent years. Animation studies serve a variety of departments and majors including Art, Media, Communications, Advertising, and Computer Programming.
