Biography
Associate Professor of Communication Studies

Dr. John Feaster has been teaching at Rowan since 2010. He has published research on the roles communication technology plays in interpersonal communication contexts. More recently, his research interests have focused on communication meta-theory, which aims to help fellow scholars more clearly discuss (and teach) diverse perspectives on communication processes. He served as the chair of the Department of Communication Studies from 2017 to 2023.
John enjoys roller coasters (El Toro is his all-time favorite), fostering cats with his wife (the real Dr. Feaster in the family), collecting Japanese Role-Playing Games (JRPGs), and playing Magic: The Gathering badly.
